Service Industry Transformation Conference

Organised by Singapore Productivity Centre (SGPC), the Service Industry Transformation Conference is a full-day LEDS signature event brought to you by Workforce Singapore, Enterprise Singapore & Singapore Tourism Board. The event was supported by the ten associations within the service industry namely ASA, SHA, SRA, RAS, NATAS, SACEOS, SFIC, ACAPS, FMAS and SJA.

The conference was separated into two segments; with Masterclasses conducted in the morning, speaker’s session and pledging ceremony in the afternoon. Several industry experts, such as Mr Steven Foo, Managing Director of The Cellar Door, Mr David Whye, CEO & Executive Director of Pets Lover Centre, Ms Moh Ai Wei, Project Engineer from Grand Hyatt Singapore and Mr Virendra Shelar, President Omron Management Center of Asia Pacific, and General Manager, Global Human Resource Strategy Department, were invited to share their insights on aspects of service quality. Minister of Manpower & Second Minister of Home Affairs, Mrs Josephine Teo, had graced the conference, sharing her thoughts and views on the Service Industry Transformation initiative.

The Service Industry Transformation Programme, a practical hands-on guide for companies to transform their service experience, was then launched in the conference with the support pledged by the ten associations. The conference was then wrapped up with a panel discussion moderated by Prof Jawn Lim, Chief Design Officer of Singapore Productivity Centre.
